Matt Sparks

Lead Pastor (City)

Matt is married to Tash and they have two sons (Judah and Levi) and a daughter (Piper).

After 17 years of youth ministry, Matt and Tash felt called to begin a new work and Anchor Church started in their living room in January 2014.

Matt has a deep passion for the local church, the city of Sydney and the glory of God.

Mitch Brice

Executive Pastor

Mitch is married to Sarah and they have two beautiful children, Millie & Beau.
Mitch is Anchor’s Executive Pastor and helps to implement our vision for planting churches by overseeing all of the operational and administrative needs of our four churches in partnership with our staff and Board of Operations.
Mitch is deeply passionate about the local church and believes that the church is the primary way in which the world will experience the love and beauty of God.

Gina Borg

Worship, Prayer, & Discipleship Pastor

Gina and her household have served Jesus in local church ministry both in Sydney and with European Christian Mission in Malta for over two decades. She and her daughter Rose joined Anchor in 2025. Worship, Prayer and Discipleship are her ministry areas as we continue to cultivate our rhythms of prayer, worship and outward facing discipleship for the glory of God.

Jacques-Laurent Valliant

Generations Pastor

Jacques is an Inner West native, calling Newtown home all his life and he loves the Inner West in all its weird glory. Jacques is married to Holly and they’re expecting their first child in 2026. Prior to his role at Anchor, Jacques worked for International Justice Mission. As the Generations Pastor looks after kids, youth, and young adults.

Arnaldo Santiago Jr.

Lead Pastor (South West)

Arnaldo is married to Katherine and they have four energetic and loving kids who keep them both very busy!

A native of Brooklyn, NY, he has made his home in Sydney since 2007 and couldn’t think of a more beautiful city to be a faithful presence in for the glory of Christ.

Arnaldo is Lead Pastor of Anchor South West.

Mitch Everingham

Lead Pastor (Northern Beaches)

Mitch grew up on the Northern Beaches and has been following Jesus closely since he was 20. He is married to Suz and together they have two beautiful boys, Jamie and Clay. Mitch has been in ministry for 12 years, serving in churches both in Sydney and overseas. After feeling called by God to come back to the beaches, he started as Lead Pastor of Anchor Northern Beaches in January 2026 and can’t wait to see many people find hope and home in Jesus.

Aaron Smith

Associate Pastor

Aaron is married to Lara, and together they recently welcomed their child, Noah, into the world. He completed his Master of Divinity at SMBC while serving as a Student Pastor at Anchor Beaches. Having grown up in the area, Aaron was thrilled to be part of the core team that launched Anchor Beaches in July 2022.

James Wong

Lead Pastor (North Shore)

Born in Sydney, James grew up in the church before walking away as a teenager. After rediscovering his faith in university, he grew a deep love for the local church and a burning conviction & desire to see people’s lives transformed as they encountered the love of Jesus. James was part of the Staff Team at Anchor City for 8 years before being sent, along with his family and a committed Planting Team, to start Anchor North Shore in 2025.
